EN • In winter when it is super cold outside I’m often tempted to stick to a “pants-only-policy”, just because it seems to be more comfy and warm. Let me tell you, I was wrong! There are so many lovely winter outfits you can create with a long skirt or even a dress. Of course, the basic requirement are thick and warm tights and a cozy jacket. If this is set, wearing a skirt is not going to be a problem. The long skirt I’m wearing on the pictures is one of my favourites this season: it looks super stylish and keeps me warm.
DE • Wenn die Temperaturen im Winter so richtig ungemütlich werden, bin ich oft in Versuchung ausschließlich Hosen zu tragen – einfach aus Bequemlichkeit. Dabei gibt es so viele Möglichkeiten, Röcke und auch Kleider wintertauglich zu kombinieren. Natürlich sind eine warme Strumpfhose und eine dicke Jacke die Grundvoraussetzung! Aber dann, kann man sich ruhig auch mal an einen Rock wagen. Den blauen langen Wollrock den ich auf den Bildern trage, ist einer meiner derzeitigen Winterlieblinge: er ist ein echtes Highlight und hält schön warm.
My version of a long skirt in winter

1 Make sure to stay warm
EN • When combining my winter outfits I ALWAYS make sure I stay warm as my health goes first! So picking a warm jacket and thick, comfortable tights are a must! Keep in mind: better safe than sorry.
DE • Wenn ich meine Winteroutfits kombiniere ist es mir immer wichtig, dass sie schön warm sind. Gesundheit steht für mich an oberster Stelle. Deshalb trage ich den warme Teddycoat und eine dicke Strumpfhose.

EN • To create this or a similar outfit, select a long skirt with a bright color and lively pattern. Tartan is one of my favourite pattern when it comes to key pieces. I linked some of my personal favourites in the widget below.
DE • Bei diesem Outfit steht der Rock eindeutig im Mittelpunkt. Ich habe auf eine kräftige Farbe und ein auffälliges Muser geachtet. Tartanmuster ist einfach immer eine gute Wahl. Im Slider unten findet ihr weitere Röcke wie den, den ich trage.

3 Mind the details – mix pattern to make it more interesting
EN • To make a key piece stand out, try to keep the rest of the outfit low key. To make the look a bit more interesting, I mixed different materials and pattern. I selected a transparent blouse with velvet polka dots, a black teddy coat and a bag with animal print. I hope you like the look! I love wearing trousers all year around. Minus Summer denim shorts. I do throw in the odd skirt BUT I really don’t think I could handle a dress or skirt in the winter. I love warmth and comfort too much lol. Loving the coat and skirt pattern : ) xo
