Look of the month: New Grunge Inspired Outfit 

New Grunge celebrates the rebellion side in us. 

DE • Die letzte Woche im Monat ist immer Styleseven-Woche! 7 Bloggerinnen aus Deutschland schließen sich zusammen und nehmen einen aktuellen Trend unter die Lupe. In diesem Post möchte ich meine persönliche Variante zeigen und einige Key Pieces vorstellen.

EN • The last week of the month is Styleseven-Week! 7 Fashionbloggers (see their pretty faces in the end of the post) teamed up to align post topics once per month in order to publish a variety of outfits for one specific trend. This month we styled a new grunge inspired outfit. In this post I would like to show you my version and introduce you to some key pieces you need to style the look. 

Black (very, very) chunky Boots

DE • Beim New Grunge Trend dreht sich alles um Mix von Materialen, dunkle Farben und auch etwas extreme, quasi derbe Stücke. Ich habe mich deshalb dazu entschieden, meine schwarzen Kunstleder Boots zum Key Piece dieses outfits zu machen. 

EN • When styling a new grunge inspired outfit you might like to do a material mix such as leather paired with denim or fake fur. Since this trend comes from.. styling dark, extreme colours is a must. I chose my very very chunky vegan leather boots as the key piece of this look. 

Skinny Jeans & Crop Top 

DE • Zu den Chunky Stiefeln habe ich ganz klassische Basics kombiniert: Eine schwarze Röhrenjeans und ein schwarzes, bauchfreies Oberteil. Ich Ich habe bewusst diese körperbetonen Pieces gewählt um diesem sehr rebellischem Outfit eine weibliche Note zu verleihen. 

EN • With the chunky boots I combined classic basic pieces. A black skinny jeans and a tight crop top. I chose these pieces to add a more feminine note to an otherwise quite rough and rebellion look.  

Optional: A brown Teddy Coat

DE • Zugegeben, den Mantel kann man bei den steigenden Temperaturen getrost weg lassen. Bei kühlerem Wetter kann das Outfit ruhig mit einem dicken Teddy Coat oder einer schwarzen Lederjacke abgerundet werden. Ohne Jacke passt dieses Outfit allerdings auch einfach perfekt zum Frühlings- bzw. Sommersaison.

EN • If temperatures are low you might want to add a cozy teddy coat, a chic leather jacket to complete the new grunge inspired outfit. Without these options the look is also complete and perfect for the current spring/summer season. 

The final touch –  adding cool shades 

DE • Meiner Meinung nach runden die richtigen Accessoires ein Outfit erst so richtig ab. Dennoch bin ich kein Fan davon, es mit Schmuck zu übertreiben. Ich liebe es, gezielt Schmuckstücke auszuwählen. Um dem New Grunge Outfit das gewisse Etwas zu verleihen, habe ich mich für meine runde schwarze Sonnenbrille entschieden. Ich bin allerdings überzeugt, dass zu diesem punkigen Look auch ringe, eine Statement-Kette oder ein Gürtel mit einer auffälligen Schnalle perfekt passen würden. 

EN • Adding some accessories here and there never hurts. I personally like to be rather picky with adding a lot of jewellery. Nevertheless some cool rings, a bulky belt or a statement necklace might be a good choice to compete the new grunge inspired look. I decided to wear my round sunglasses with the look.
