EN • Happy 1st of March! Slowly but surely spring is coming. Soon, all the flowers will be in bloom, I really can’t wait for it! Simultaneously, the wedding season is coming up. No wonder, cause what is more beautiful than saying “I do” when all the flowers are in full bloom.

EN • When planning a wedding, a bride pictures EVERYTHING and I really mean everything. Even how the guests should be dressed. If you are in doubt about the right attire, check the invitation letter once again. The dress code is often mentioned there.
DE • Wenn eine Braut ihre Hochzeit plant, stellt sie sich meistens alles ganz genau vor. Das geht sogar so weit, dass sie sich vorstellt wie die Gäste gekleidet sein sollten. Falls also Zweifel über die richtige Garderobe aufkommen sollten, checkt einfach nochmal was in der Einladung steht.

When attending a wedding in spring, the weather may be tricky. Be prepared for sudden changes of weather and bring a jacket that matches your outfit. Maybe you even take an umbrella or a second pair of shoes with you.
Bei einer Hochzeit im Frühling sollte man auch auf schlechtes Wetter gefasst sein. Das Wetter kann sich von der einen auf die andere Minute ändern. Um darauf vorbereitet zu sein, würde ich auf jeden Fall eine passende Jacke und eventuell sogar einen schönen Schirm empfehlen.

EN • As a perfect guest you want to be dressed elegantly and nicely, but don’t want to draw too much attention. Remember it’s the couple’s big day. You don’t want to outperform the bride.
DE • Als perfekter Gast sollte man gut gekleidet sein, aber mit dem Outfit nicht zu viel Aufmerksamkeit erregen. Schließlich ist es der große Tag des Hochzeitspaars und insbesondere der Braut die mit ihrem Kleid natürlich im Mittelpunkt stehen sollte.

EN • Be sure to choose another yet elegant color such as beige, rosé, peach, light blue or emerald. I personally try to avoid striking colours when attending a wedding. I got my bridesmaid dress from AW bridal. They have a large variety of different super beautiful dresses for this occasion.
DE • Am Schönsten finde ich elegante, leichte Farben wie heige, rosa, pfirsich, hellblau oder aber auch satte Töne wie dunkelgrün oder königsblau. Von grellen Farben würde ich vorsichtshalber die Finger lassen. Ich habe mein Brautjungfernkleid aus dem AW bridal Onlineshop dort gibt es viele super schöne Kleider.

EN • When it comes to dresses or skirts there is no “too long”, but there is a “too short”. Depending on the religion of the couple, the wedding ceremony will take place in a certain location. Dressing appropriately and respectfully in regard to the environment is always a win.
DE • Ich finde auf einer Hochzeit gibt es für Kleider oder Röcke kein “zu lang” aber sehr wohl ein “zu kurz”! Je nachdem, in welchem Rahmen die Hochzeit stattfindet, sollte die Kleidung ausgewählt werden. Dies gilt insbesondere, wenn die Religion des Hochzeitspaares eine besondere Kleiderordnung vorschreibt.

About the shoes – let me tell you a secret
EN • With a long silky dress I love to pair some filigran and elegant sandals that compliment the dress and comple the look. I love to wear heels, but I make sure that they are comfortable so I can wear them all day long and dance in them. My secret to staying well in heels all day long are gel pads and a specific gel to prevent blisters beforehand.
DE • Mit einem langen, seidigen Kleid kombiniere ich am liebsten filigrane und elegante Sandalen. Ich finde, ein bisschen Absatz muss sein, damit das Kleid gut wirkt. Allerdings trage ich nur hohe Schuhe in denen ich auch den ganzen Tag überlebe. Mein Geheimnis sind Einlegesohlen aus Gel und eine Creme die Blasen schon verhindert, bevor sie überhaupt entstehen können. So bin ich immer auf der sicheren Seite.

EN • The perfect jewellery for such an occasion should be fine and elegant, underlining your beauty. With the dress and the shoes I wore a pair of golden creoles. Below you can find some of my favourite pieces I would wear when attending a wedding in spring.
DE • Der perfekte Schmuck für eine Hochzeit sollte filigran und zurückhaltend sein und das Outfit unterstreichen. Zu diesem champagnerfarbenen Kleid habe ich goldene Kreolen getragen. Unten habe ich noch ein paar andere Schmuckstücke verlinkt die ich auf einer Hochzeit tragen würde.
