EN • The topic of this post is more or less the resolution from a real emergency situation I was in. A couple of weeks ago, I actually managed to break two of my favourite jeans *RIP!*. In the past I have mostly worn skinny or boyfriend jeans, but wanted to jump on the bandwagon and look out for some badass mom jeans for this season.
DE • Dieser Post ist mehr oder weniger aus einer Notsituation entstanden. Im letzten Monat habe ich es doch tatsächlich geschafft, zwei meiner Lieblingsjeans kaputt zu machen. Bisher habe ich überwiegend Skinny Jeans oder Boyfriend Jeans getragen, wollte nun aber mal eine Mom Jeans ausprobieren.
Where to find the best Mom Jeans
EN • My go-to stores to buy jeans are Zara, Mango, Acne Studios and ASOS. Jeans are staple pieces as they can be seen as base of so many different styles. It’s always good to have jeans in different ablutions, shades and styles. In the pictures I am wearing my favourite (and brand new) mom jeans from the current collection of Mango. DE • Generell kaufe ich Jeans gerne bei Zara, Mango, Acne Studios oder über ASOS. Ich finde, dass man immer eine Auswahl an verschiedenen Jeans im Kleiderschrank haben sollte. Jeans sind Basis für so viele verschiedene Outfits. Sie müssen je nach Situation einfach angemessen sein. Aufs Festival kann man ruhig mal eine Zerrissene anziehen, wenn man die Oma besucht sollte man das wahrscheinlich lieber lassen (..). Deshalb versuche ich immer, Jeans in unterschiedlichen Waschungen, Schattierungen und Längen zu haben. Auf den Bildern trage ich meine brandneue Mom-Jeans aus der aktuellen Kollektion von Mango. Hier findet ihr nochmal ein paar Mom Jeans aus meiner aktuellen Wunschliste.
The perfect shoes to wear with a Mom Jeans
EN • I found that Mom Jeans look best with a pair of shoes where you can still see the ankle. In the pictures I paired them with pointed heels. Just in time for spring, you may also pair them with some sandals with chunky heels, a pair of sneakers or some pretty flats. For me pairing them with boots didn’t work out.
DE • Ich finde, dass Mom Jeans am besten mit Schuhen, bei denen man den Knöchel noch sieht, getragen werden. Nur so kommt die Form der Hose richtig zur Geltung. High Heels, Sandalen vielleicht auch mit Blockabsatz oder Ballerinas können gut zur Mom Jeans kombiniert werden.

EN • As Mom Jeans are characterised by their rather loose fit, it’s always good to put the top into your pants. That way the waist is highlighted a bit better. I like to combine loose denims with tops that have a basic cut but a strong color.
DE • Da Mom Jeans ehr locker geschnitten sind, ist es immer gut, das Oberteil in die Hose zu stecken. So wird die Taille noch ein bisschen besser hervorgehoben. Ich kombiniere zu lockeren Jeans am liebsten Oberteile die schlicht geschnitten sind aber eine kräftige Farbe haben.
