About the KUNSTHAUS ZÜRICH

EN • “Kunsthaus” translates into house of art and is the most well known and  it is the biggest museum in Zürich. One Sunday morning we decided to discover this cultural side of the Zürich. If you have some time to spare in this beautiful Swiss city, I recommend you visit the Kunsthaus Zürich. There are over 4000 paintings and sculptures read for you to discover. You will take a stroll through impressionism, classical modernism, pop art and contemporary art.

DE • Das Kunsthaus ist das bekannteste und größte Museum in Zürich. An einem Sonntagmorgen beschlossen wir, diese kulturelle Seite von Zürich zu entdecken. Wenn ihr etwas Zeit in dieser schönen Schweizer Stadt verbringt, empfehle ich euch, das Kunsthaus Zürich zu besuchen. Auf dem Streifzug durch Impressionismus, klassischer Moderne, Pop-Art und zeitgenössischer Kunst gibt es über 4000 Gemälde und Skulpturen zu entdecken. 

A minute of tranquility

EN • Paying a visit to the museum on a Sunday morning is one of my usual weekend pastimes. Maybe after having a brunch in the city or if its raining outside. Once I arrive its like switching off the hustle and bustle of daily life and just being in the moment sinking into the world of art. I personally like abstract paintings and in general everything that is not too realistic. Impressionism, Pointillism and so on. If you find yourself alone you can have a wonderful me time at the museum and if you go with someone its nice to just let the scene sink in and afterwards share feelings, emotions and points of view. Kunsthaus Zürich is an amazing place to do so.

DE • Ein Museumsbesuch ist für mich eine typische Beschäftigung an einem Sonntagmorgen. Vielleicht nach einem Brunch in der Stadt oder wenn es draußen regnet. Wenn ich ankomme, ist es, als würde ich die Hektik des Alltags abschalten. Hier versinke für einige Momente in der Welt der Kunst. Ich persönlich mag abstrakte Malerei und generell alles, was nicht zu realistisch ist. Impressionismus, Pointillismus und so weiter. Wenn du alleine bist, kannst du im Museum eine wunderbare Zeit für dich selbst haben. Wenn man noch mit jemand anderem unterwegs ist, ist es schön, das Gesehene einfach auf sich wirken zu lassen und anschließend Gefühle, Emotionen und Standpunkte auszutauschen. Kunsthaus Zürich ist der perfekte Ort um dies zu tun.

Impressive Artworks and big names

EN • Let the name dropping begin! Even if you are not into art and just like to watch Hollywood movies you’ll come across some big names that you’ve heard before (for example in movies). The features artists like Vincent Van Gogh, Andy Warhol, Claude Monet, Marc Chagall, Miró and many more.

DE •  Tolle Bilder und große Namen! Auch wenn ihr euch nicht für Kunst interessiert aber gerne Hollywood-Filme schaut, werden ihr im Kunsthaus Zürich einige große Namen finden, die Sie schon einmal gehört habt. In diesem Museum befinden sich Werke von Künstlern wie z.B Vincent Van Gogh, Andy Warhol, Claude Monet, Marc Chagall, Miró und vielen mehr. Und diese kommen oft auch in Filmen vor.
