EN • Some like them, others hate them: cycling shorts. When I discovered the cycling shorts trend by the end of last year, I was not very enthusiastic. Let me tell you, over time I started to enjoy this trend to the fullest. As I already pointed out (here), I am a huge fan of animal prints. No wonder that I chose to wear bike shorts with leopard print. To keep it classy I chose a long linen blazer and a black tee.
DE • Die Einen mögen sie, die Anderen hassen sie: Radlerhosen. Als ich Ende letzten Jahres den Radlerhosen-Trend entdecke habe, war ich erst einmal wenig begeistert. Aber mit der Zeit habe ich mich mehr und mehr mit dieser Idee angefreundet und dabei meine Lieblingsversion des Looks gefunden. Natürlich mit Animal Print! Um es klassisch zu halten, habe ich dazu einen weißen Leinenblazer und ein schwarzes Basic kombiniert.

EN • For me the #1 reason to wear the cycling shorts trend: it’s sooo comfortable – you wouldn’t believe it. Another reason is that I just like the casual combination of the bike shorts and a long blazer.
DE • Mein Hauptgrund diesen Trend zu lieben ist, dass Radlerhosen einfach soo bequem sind. Ich hatte das gar nicht so bequem in Erinnerung. Und der zweite Grund ist, dass ich die Kombination aus Radlerhose und langem Leinenblazer einfach zum Niederknien finde 😉

EN • When I think about the bike shorts trend, I always imagine me spending a day in the city to go shopping, for a coffee or meet some friends. I would definitely not wear a bike shorts to work or during professional meetings. I simply feel that the shots are too short and sit too tight in order to be appropriate to a formal meeting. What are your thoughts on this?
DE • Trotz aller Liebe würde ich diese Kombi nicht immer und überall tragen. Ich finde der Look ist perfekt, um einen Tag in der Stadt zu verbringen. Shoppen zu gehen, ein paar Freunde zu treffen etc. Auf der Arbeit oder bei professionellen Meetings würde ich die Hose also im Schrank bleiben. Ich finde da ist sie eindeutig einen wenig zu enganliegende und zu kurz. Was denkt ihr darüber?

Radler-Hosen sind absolut nicht mein Trend. Auch wenn mir dein Look echt gut gefällt, kann ich mir nicht vorstellen ihn selber zu tragen. Für mich sind Radler-Hose immer noch kleine Hilfsmittel um zu kurze Kleider tragbarer zu machen. Aber vielleicht ändert sich meine Meinung da noch. Dein Look ist auf jeden Fall toll.

Super interessanter Ansatz! Ich habe ehrlich gesagt noch nie unter einem kurzen Kleid eine Radler-Hose getragen. Genau deshalb habe ich wohl panische Angst vor dem nächsten Windstoß wenn ich ein kurzes Kleid trage 😀 – Danke für den Tipp in diesem Sinne 😉 Generell wusste ich vorher nicht, ob das ein Trend für mich ist und war auch sehr skeptisch. Der Leo-Variante konnte ich dann allerdings doch nicht widerstehen 😉
