EN • Mallorca can mean many things. To some it means party vacation, to some it means quiet island life. It can also mean design shopping in the city center of Palma de Mallorca. All in all I would say it means in many cases “living the good life” cause this little island is undoubtedly a beautiful place that has so much to offer. To me Mallorca means a beautiful island full of small hidden beaches, beautiful mountain views and good restaurants to discover.

DE • Mallorca kann vieles bedeuten. Für manche bedeutet es Party-Urlaub, für andere ruhiges Inselleben. Es kann auch “Leben auf einem Boot” oder Designshopping in der Hauptstadt Palma de Mallorca bedeuten. In vielen Fällen bedeutet es das Leben in vollen Zügen zu genießen denn diese Insel hat so unglaublich viel zu bieten. Für mich bedeutet Mallorca Schönheit soweit das Auge reicht, versteckte Strände die es zu erkunden gilt, atemberaubende Aussichten von hohen Bergen und gute Restaurants mit leckerem Essen.

Cala Anguila

EN • I want to start this small list of recommendations with my favourite beach: Platja Cala Anguila on the east coast of Mallorca. I loved coming here cause its a small, very private sandy beach with clear water. Life is slower here. On the sides you will find some cliffs you can hike on and even jump from if you a brave sea-lover. Next to this bay there are various of the sort: Namely Platja Cala Mandina, Cala Romantica and S’Estany d’en Mas. Also you find many restaurants in the area.

DE • Ich möchte diese kleine Empfehlungsliste mit meinem Lieblingsstrand beginnen: Platja Cala Anguila an der Ostküste Mallorcas. Ich liebe diesen sandigen Strand mit klarem Wasser weil er sehr klein und privat ist. Das Leben fühlt sich langsamer an und es gibt nichts schöneres als hier mit einem Buch im Gesicht einzuschlafen. An der Seite gibt es eine Klippe auf der man spazieren und von der man auch springen kann wenn man genug Mut hat. Außerdem gibt es in der Gegend süße kleine Restaurants. In der Nähe gibt es weitere Buchten wie Platja Cala Mandina, Cala Romantica und S’Estany d’en Mas die sich alle ähneln.

Cala Agulla

EN • Cala Agulla has a similar name and is still on the east coast but much more up towards the north you find the beautiful beach I loved snorkelling there. The whole setting gave be big time Caribbean vibes.

DE • Apropos ähneln: Der wunderschöne Strand Cala Agulla etwas weiter oben im Norden trägt einen ähnlichen Namen und ist wirklich ein “must-see” Hier kann man super Schnorcheln und durch das kristallblaue Wasser fühlt man sich wie in der Karibik.

Sa Nau

EN • Let’s keep talking about romantic the small beaches before talking about the long coastlines. Sa Nau is a super lovely beach where with a Chiringuito, which means basically “beach bar” in Spanish. The food there was so so good! On this day I basically kept eating, swimming and sleeping on repeat! Definitely a recommendation that earned it’s spot as one of the best beaches in Mallorca.

DE • Wenn wir schon bei den etwas kleineren Stränden sind, möchte ich euch den süßen Strand Sa Nau natürlich nicht vorenthalten! Hier gibt es ein wirklich leckeres Chiringuito, was auf spanisch “Strandbar” bedeutet. Das Essen ist soo lecker! Ich habe in Sa Nau meine Essen-Schlafen-Schwimmen-Routine perfektioniert.

Cala Tuent

EN • We discovered the stone beach Cala Tunet on our way back from Cap de Formentor. The beaches up north are often stone beaches and the sea is deep blue (nor turquoise as in the southern part of the island). Also they are not easily accessible (you definitely need a car and need to feel safe driving mountain roads). In exchange for the effort you get beaches that are less busy and definitely worth a visit and earned its spot on my list of the best beaches in Mallorca.

DE • Wir haben den Steinstrand Cala Tunet auf unserem Weg zurück vom Cap de Formentor entdeckt. Die Strände oben im Norden sind meist steinig und das Meer ist tiefblau (eher nicht türkis wie im unteren Teil der Insel). Außerdem sind sie etwas schwieriger zu erreichen ( Man braucht ein Auto und einen Fahrer der es liebt Serpentinen zu fahren.) Dafür sind die Strände oft etwas weniger belebt.

Platja de Formentor

EN • Here I agree with other bloggers that created posts about the best beaches in Mallorca! Platja de Formentor is a long, beautiful, sandy beach with clear water. A perfect place to lay in the shades of the pine trees and taking a dip in crystal clear water. If you pay a visit to Cap the Formentor (you definitely have to, cause the views are AMAZING!) you can easily chill out at this beautiful beach afterwards.

DE • In diesem Fall stimme ich den anderen Artikeln über die schönsten Strände in Mallorca zu: Platja de Formentor ist ein wunderschöner, langer Sandstrand mit klarem Wasser. Der perfekte Ort um unter den Pinenbäumen zu liegen und ab und zu eine runde im kristallklarem Wasser zu schwimmen. Dieser Strand ist in der Nähe von Cap de Formentor (eine weitere echte Empfehlung – die Aussicht ist wunderschön).

Es Trenc

EN • The beach Es Trenc is in the south of Mallorca and I absolutely loved it! It’s a very wide, long coast line. Different from all the other beaches I talked about before. It reminded me a bit of the beaches of Baja California / California and definitely worth a visit.

EN • Der Strand Es Trenc  ist ein langläufiger Strand im Süden Mallorcas den ich absolut liebe. Er ist anders als all die Strände die ich bisher beschrieben habe. Es Trenc erinnert mich an die weiten Strände von Baja California/California deshalb ist er definitiv einen Besuch wert.
