A day on a pumpkin patch in Switzerland
EN • This fall I made it my mission to visit a pumpkin patch. During the last years when I was living in Spain or Germany it was hard to find such a place. Every fall season these fun places pop up on social media and this year I went for it. Here in Switzerland you can visit the Jucker Farm in the greater area of Zürich. There are in total 4 different Jucker farms in this area with different pumpkin exhibitions running from August to end of October.
DE • Diesen Herbst hatte ich mir vorgenommen endlich mal eine Kürbis Farm zu besuchen. Letztes Jahr als ich noch in Spanien gewohnt habe und auch in Deutschland war es für mich immer schwierig, Kürbisfarmen zu finden. Jeden Herbst erscheinen Kürbisbilder auf Social Media und ich hatte es quasi auf meiner “Bucketlist”. Hier in der Schweiz gibt es die Jucker Farm. Vier verschiedene Höfe, auf denen man von August bis Ende Oktober die Kürbisausstellung besichtigen kann.
Hello October – It’s Pumpkin Season
EN • So far I have visited 2 of the 4 Jucker Farms: Bächlihof and Römerhof, I am still missing the Juckerhof and Spargelhof. On all of them you will find different figures build from pumpkins, a farm shop where you can buy a large variety of vegetables and home made products such as marmalade, juices, wine bread and much more. Some of them have a restaurant, a kids playground and fields where you can cut fresh flowers or just take a stroll. Learn a lot about pumpkins such as different types in color, shape and origin. Learn what you can use them for.
DE • Bisher habe ich 2 der 4 Juckerhöfe besucht: Den Bächlihof und den Römerhof, somit fehlen mir also noch der Juckerhof und der Spargelhof. Auf allen Farmen gibt es verschiedene Kürbisfiguren und einen Hofladen in dem man eine große Auswahl an Gemüse und hausgemachten Produkten wie Marmelade, Säfte, Weinbrot und vieles mehr kaufen kann. Einige von ihnen haben ein Restaurant, einen Kinderspielplatz und Felder, auf denen man frische Blumen schneiden kann oder einfach nur spazieren gehen kann. Außerdem lernt man einiges über verschiedene Kürbissorten. Diese unterscheiden sich in Farbe, Form, Herkunft und Verwendungsmöglichkeit
What to wear on a pumpkin patch ?
EN • This is the perfect opportunity to have a pumpkin patch photoshoot. Especially for to shoot fall outfits with cute sweaters, jackets, scarfs and boots. On a pumpkin farm you can usually many cute backgrounds to shoot. Also I took 2 pumpkins home to carve faces in them and have another photoshoot at home. I will publish them in my next post.
DE • Kürbisfarmen sind eine wahre Wunderwelt. Somit auch perfekt geeignet für einen herbstlichen Photoshoot. Da es einfach so viele schöne Hintergründe gibt passt die Farm vor allem für herbstliche Outfits. Man kann also getrost die schönen Pullis, Jacken, Stiefel und Schals hervorholen und sich einmal so richtig austoben. Ich habe auch 2 Kürbisse gekauft um Gesichter zu schnitzen – freut euch auf meinen nächsten Post!
