MeetMiri Fashion Blogger Lifestyle TrendChristmas Dessert: Surprise Milk Rice

EN • This recipe was influenced by generations of my family. First you cook milk rice like described on the package. For a vegan option just replace cow milk with any plant based milk you like. While the rice is cooking you already whip one egg white. Vegans can alternately use aqua faba which has the same foamy effect. Once the rice is cooked you combine the milk rice and the foam and get a perfectly fluffy version of it. This part was invented by my mum.

EN • Next up is making the milk rice christmassy: you want to add some cinnamon and apple pureé to it. I use the one you can buy in a glas in the supermarket. But why again was the milk rice called “surprise milk rice?” Cause now you add the surprise.  Hide some chocolate (I use the red Lindt balls) in the still warm milk rice. That way the person that eats it finds pockets of liquid chocolate inside. This part was invented by my grandma and I LOVED it as a kid! Here you find my pin on Pinterest with a video tutorial for this Christmas dessert.

Christmas Dessert: Apfelstrudel-Bites

EN • This one is easy. For this Christmas dessert you want to use an apple, cake dough from the supermarket and cinnamon to create some delicious Apfelstrudel-Bites. First you cut the apple and steam it in a little water with cinnamon. In the meantime you fit the dough into muffin forms. Once the apple is done you fill it into the forms. To make everything a little juicer I thickened the sauce with Maizena and added it into the form. Then you close everything and bake it in the oven for 15 mins on 250 degrees. Here you find my pin on Pinterest with a video tutorial for this Christmas dessert.
