DE • Das Thema ist in aller Munde. So sehr, dass man es schon fast nicht mehr hören mag. So brisant, dass man es auch nicht ignorieren kann: Corona. Der Virus wütet auf der Welt und betrifft und uns mittlerweile alle. Das Leben hat sich verändert. Wir müssen mit vielen Einschränkungen und großer Ungewissheit umgehen.
EN • The topic is all over the news and you get the feeling that bad news are dropping by the hour. It’s so intense that you can’t hear it anymore: Corona. The virus has spread over the world and all our lives are affected to a certain degree. Life has changed. We have to deal with restrictions of our freedom and uncertainty about the future.
Stuck on an island
EN • The bad news that we are quarantined caught me in Spain while I was on a surf trip on the island Fuerteventura. Well.. I am still there! We made the decision to stay here, in the meantime out flights were cancelled and now we do not have the possibility to return home. Maybe that is for the best? My friends and I rented an airbnb with two terraces so we’ve got some space to move, do sports and lay in the sun. Now that got me thinking about all the things to do when you are quarantined at home.
DE • Mich hat die Quarantäne-Nachricht in Spanien während meines Surf-Urlaubs auf der Insel Fuerteventura erreicht. Entscheidungen wurden getroffen, Flüge wurden gestrichen und aus 4 wurden nun schon 9 Tage und es werden noch etliche hinzu kommen. Wir sitzen fest. Immerhin konnten meine Freunde und ich ein Apartment mit Terrasse mieten. So können wir uns rund ums Haus ab und zu die Füße vertreten, haben Platz um Sport zu machen oder in der Sonne zu liegen.

EN • If you get caught by the police walking the streets of Spain with no reason, you have to pay a high fine. So there’s nothing left to do than staying at home (better safe than sorry). Luckily I have the possibility to work from home. Nevertheless I have a loot of free time left, so I made a list of what to do when you are quarantined at home.
DE • Wer allerdings auf der Straße ohne triftigen Grund erwischt wird, muss in Spanien eine Geldstrafe von 600€ aufwärts bezahlen. Also bleibt nichts anderes übrig, als Zuhause zu bleiben. Außer dass ich nun von Zuhause arbeite, habe ich viel Zeit, mich um meinen Blog zu kümmern und Dinge zu tun, die ich sonst nicht tun würde.
