EN • I shouldn’t forget about good old eBay – here it’s more like hunting. You view something, wait for it and in the very last second you bid. The seconds after, until you see whether you have won, seem like hours. On the one hand, it can be pure adrenaline and great fun, and on the other, you may be disappointed if someone else wins the auction.
DE • Natürlich darf das gute alte Ebay auf dieser Liste nicht fehlen. Ich empfinge das Bieten auf Ebay eher wie eine Jagd. Man findet etwas, das einem gefällt, wartet und bietet in der letzten Sekunde. Die Sekunden danach, bis man angezeigt bekommt, ob man gewonnen hat, scheinen wie Stunden. Auf der einen Seite kann das wirklich Spaß machen, wenn Adrenalin im Spiel ist. Andererseits kann man auch bitter enttäuscht werden, wenn jemand anderes die Auktion gewonnen hat.
How to do vintage shopping offline
EN • There are two things you can do in your city or when travelling: Search for all the addresses of vintage stores online to get an idea how you can plan your visit. I often love to read the online ratings of the shops so I get an idea what kind of vintage pieces I’m going to find there. Also do not forget to check the dates for flea market in the area.
DE • Es gibt zwei Dinge, die man in der eigenen Stadt oder beim Reisen tun kann, um tolle Vintage Kleider zu finden. Sucht euch die Adressen der Vintage Läden vorher raus und plant euren Besuch. Ich lese dann auch immer die Bewertungen, so habe ich vorab schon eine ungefähre Ahnung, was ich in dem Laden so finden kann. Außerdem lohnt es sich auch immer, das Datum, an dem ein Flohmarkt statt findet zu kennen. Dort findet man auch ab und an echte Schätze.

EN • To me there is no summer without wearing a cool denim jacket. No wonder, cause I got all my favourite ones at flea markets around the world. Among them are great brands such as Levis or Mustang.

EN • Where to find old fashion dresses like Carrie wore them in Sex and the City or Julia wore them in pretty woman? In the thrift store of course. If you have a little spare time you can look around and find some great pieces.
DE • Wo findet man nur Kleider wie Carrie sie in Sex and and City oder Julia sie in Pretty Woman an hatte? Im Second Hand Shop natürlich! Wenn man ein bisschen Zeit hat, kann man dort wunderbar stöbern gehen und das ein- oder andere neue und ausgefallene Lieblingsstück finden.
